Today's camping trip did not go to plan, raining & I get a front wheel puncture, steering went tight rode it till it would ride no more...in the middle of nowhere an hour from a main road ..so recovery was my only option as we had no tools with us...
We did have coffee & meals though while waiting for the nice Gary to lift the bike.. best solution home as no dealers will change tyres n tubes at 3pm on a Saturday....got home & it was 23* and sunny. Bonus

Annan - Carlisle - Langholm - Lockerbie... Serious potholes on the Langholm to Corrie & Lockerbie, glad it hav an endurance bike.

Ok, three days off time to service my bike, check my cold weather gear & catch up with stuff, only 2 weeks to go to trip to John o Groat's through Scotland to the ferry at Cainryan, to help them get the event rolling...

Another day tyres nearly scrubbed in nicely, Moffat for coffee & Jacket pot... Serious helmet hair today, my trouser liner is back in but could have done with another layer on the top half, turned into a gorgeous afternoons ride with Jayne...

I have done this route in a day, someone has published a map... time to get the bike out & rever it!

SWC300 the South West Coastal 300 route is a stunning drive of just over 300 miles. Much of route follows our awesome coastline and delightful villages

It's a wet day, not to be detured I'm off around the lochs in D&G, having breakfast at Inn on the Loch, Then to Loch Ken. Then a ride to Falkirk if I can time meeting a MotoWoman right. Note to self, tinted visor season is over, get the clear one out...

Today's ride.
Two mountain passes & 5 lochs & Reservoirs.
One of the 10 highest roads in the UK...
Including Talla Reservoir & Megget Reservoir.
Megget Stone, 1483ft single track. The A708 past St Mary's Loch after lunch at the biker cafe & then Grey Mare tail through Moffat & home. Temperature reached 26.5° so was hot in the bike gear.
Loving the Scottish sunshine, so lucky its all in a ride around my block...spotted a track up the fell side so this journey will be continued another day.

What a weekend, love the Cairngorms National Park, probably a 600 mile weekend lots of passes.
Highest roads in Scotland completed.
Went up by the A7 & the new Forth Road Bridge so more fun than the M74 & A701...
