Maria & Bill’s wonderful wedding was my first one of 2025 back in January. This really appreciative couple were great fun to work with too!
It was so special to document this fabulous wedding ceremony, & it was a joy to witness a family & group of friends who were so al close!
Winter weddings are always a challenge when it comes to group shots as no one really wants to be outside, but when I have a stunningly beautiful church interior it’s so much more straight forward. My canvas for the group shots was the gorgeous Our Lady of Lourdes & Saint Michael in Uxbridge.
The reception venue was the lovely nearby Wexham Park Golf Centre. Maria & Bill were keen for me to capture some of my floodlit night shots out on the crazy golf course. The staff said this was a first for them as we ventured out onto the course when all around us was pitch black! Over the years I’ve floodlit almost every backdrop imaginable, but a crazy golf course was a first for me, but I was up for the challenge!
I wouldn’t normally admit to any occasional mishaps I experience, but somehow on this really cold evening I briefly dropped down into the course’s 6 inch deep river with quite a splash as I meandered through the course whilst doing my lighting fast walk through, thankfully this happened before the newlyweds arrived in their golf buggy.
Once I’d captured some really striking night-shots amongst the fabulous props on the course, this bedraggled & cold photographer was soon on his way home for the day! 🥶
