Some close ups of a local buzzard ๐Ÿ“ธ

Itโ€™s been a while since Iโ€™ve seen a buzzard never mind got close enough to photograph one. And my local one that sits in a particular tree every day is not there so I can only hope that they are busy nesting and that they will return soon. Hopefully Iโ€™ll be able to get some updated shots when they do โ˜บ๏ธ

Until then please enjoy the one and only time they allowed me to get close enough to photograph ๐Ÿ˜‚ They even flew towards and over me which I was super excited about as they always fly off whenever I stop by ๐Ÿ˜‚

Finally found some beautiful foxes!

Having lived in London for 4 years, I took seeing foxes for granted as they were constantly outside my house everyday. But then moving to Northumberland I saw 1 in one year and realised how elusive they really are in the country compared to the city.

I finally Found a place where they were potentially around, and took my camera and camouflage coat and sat in some bushes for 4 hours. And that patience paid off!

Two stunning foxes appeared and spent an hour running round me, I assume looking for food for their cubs. They were stunning to watch and photograph! Hopefully the cubs are thriving and will appear soon ๐Ÿ˜

Yesterday was such an amazing day!

Started off with seeing the otter in the morning having a plentiful breakfast. Then came the boat trip to the Farne Islands to see the puffins as last week when I went there was none ๐Ÿ˜‚

It was amazing to see them rebuilding their bonds after months at sea. Clearing out their dens and waddling around the island ๐Ÿ˜‚

And then to top the day off on the way back to the harbour the dolphins showed up! ๐Ÿ˜ so close that I couldnโ€™t even get photos with the lens I had on ๐Ÿ˜‚

And to top that off the Orcas have come back to our shores this morning. Hopefully this year I will be able to see them.

Thank you to Serenity Farne Island Boat Tours

So a couple of weeks ago we had a chance at the Aurora and even though it wasnโ€™t as strong as it has been I still managed to capture a few images during itโ€™s peak ๐Ÿ˜

This was all done with my trusty Nifty 50mm lens, I have however recently bought a 14mm lens so hopefully Iโ€™ll be able to try that out soon.

Found this beautiful young male calmly sat with his hind far away from the larger Stags. He was still alert to everything going on but allowed me to get close enough to capture a few images.

Finally got some film of the beautiful kingfisher with its prey. The sun was just rising and hit the kingfisher perfectly as it sat on the perch!

I didnโ€™t have my tripod with me so this is handheld so please mind the shake.

A whisper in the woods

Standing 3 hours in the pouring rain with hopes that this hollowed dead tree had some life to it finally paid off. As the rain finally started to slow and a ray of sun poked through the clouds for a split second, she slowly emerged from her home to check out the woods she calls home. Silent and graceful.

Iโ€™ve finally seen all 5 of the UKs Owls ๐Ÿ“ธ

Kingfisher in Flight.

Spent 5 hours waiting for this stunning kingfisher to come back to the perch with hopes of capturing a dive from her but unfortunately I missed everyone. Wasnโ€™t quick enough with pressing the shutter ๐Ÿ˜ซ But I did manage to capture her with her wings spread.

I had my Shutter at 1/4000 of a second and her wings are still blurred! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ that is some fast movement from such a small Bird!
