It literally goes everywhere with me. The characteristics of my photography are largely based around candid and reportage style shots. Having said that, the subject matter I shoot is broad. I’m interested in all aspects of life and culture, fascinated by a world that is ever changing. My greatest dedication though, is to the photographing of people. Portrait and reportage photography is exciting and hugely rewarding. I’m constantly searching to capture that perfect moment, whether it’s a glance, a mood, a colour, a smile or cry or some beautiful madness unfolding out in front of me. Always looking to capture the intriguing, the gritty, the fun, the moving, the abstract… The moment! If you want to discuss a photo shoot please don't hesitate to get and touch.

Not a remarkable photo by any stretch of the imagination, but I like it all the same. A gul caught in a natural lens flare. A recent shot from our coastal travels this summer. I followed its flight path and took the shot as it passed in front of the sun. All sorts of mad things happened when you shoot directly into the sun.

Today is world photography day. It celebrates the French government's purchase of the patent for the daguerreotype photographic process in 1839. The first highly detailed and commercially practical photographic process. They then offered it as a free gift to the world. It also celebrates the wonderful creative art of photography in all its forms.
