I'm back from two glorious weeks off work so thought I'd better post something for my new followers and the couples who've booked recently! 😎

Happy 1 week married Lindsey & Paul! 🎉

I absolutely loved spending the day with these two last weekend. They're clearly made for each other and we had such a laugh together, as I think you can see! We also had an emergency Dairy Milk moment, swipe through to see! 🤣

Their ceremony was held at St George's Hall and then we took a short walk over to for a relaxed celebration with their nearest and dearest 🎉

What a FABULOUS day I had last week with L&K at their beautiful wedding at The Reader in Calderstones Park!
The sun was out, their guests were all absolutely lovely, loads of kids running around and SO MUCH love and laughter! ☺️
Oh and let's just take a moment to appreciate Katie's cape and Lindsey's matching veil! 😍

The The Sugar Brothers provided the evening entertainment and made sure the dancefloor was packed! 💃🏼🎤🎸🕺🏼

The first of three weddings this week and I was back at St George's Hall for this lovely couple's ceremony followed by a laid back reception at 𝗕𝗨𝗬𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 🤩
A&D's family and friends are so important to them and I could tell how much they all love each other and how much fun they have together! Smiles and laughter galore as well as loads of singing and dancing!

The brief was colourful photography capturing all the funny and silly moments of the day rather than loads of posed shots. How did we do? 🤩

🌟 Chloe & Jay 🌟

I know I say this about all of my weddings, but I had so much fun with these two and their guests! I received such a warm welcome when I arrived for prep, Jay and the boys didn't even flinch when I walked in on them all half naked! 😂

The day at Ness Botanic Gardens was absolutely fab but so bloody hot! I was sweating from my eyeballs during the outdoor ceremony! 🥵

It was a beautiful and fun day though, I'm still swooning over Chloe's cape, such a gorgeous alternative to a veil! 😍

I also loved the way they incorporated their love of Lord of the Rings into their decorations and doughnut stand, which they had instead of a cake! 🍩

Thank you so much for an amazing day C&J! You were all so much fun to spend the day with! 😆

Review time!

Sara & George left me a lovely review after they received their Chester Zoo wedding gallery! 🐯🐘🐒🦁🫍🦩

This wedding had everything I love about weddings. The nicest couple, fun guests, plenty of creative touches, a few tears, amazing food and loads of COLOUR! 🌈

As the wedding got underway I recognised a couple of the guests but couldn't quite place them. Turns out they were at another wedding of mine a few years ago and had recommended me to Sara and George when they said they were looking for a colourful photographer! It was so nice to chat with them again and to be able to thank them personally! 😍

Romance over reels. Sunsets over stories. Adventures over the algorithm. Crafts over captions. Dogs over doom scrolling!

I’ve fallen out of love with social media, hence not posting much lately. It’s exhausting isn’t it? Not just as a small business owner but as a human being with family and friends and things to do in the real world! 😅

Something’s changed since losing Cooper last year and moving in with Chris recently. I’ve really been assessing what’s important and where I want to put my time and energy, and IG isn’t it! Yes, I know I need to get my work out there to book more amazing couples but honestly, I get most of my bookings from Google and more importantly, word of mouth so what’s the point in me spending hours on posts to please the algorithm?!

I’d much rather spend my time with the people I love, travelling, walking on the beach with Chris, looking after friends’ dogs, playing footie with the kids, doing crafty workshops, listening to the birds, tending to the garden, even decorating! 😂

So, what’s this got to do with weddings? I’m not sure really! I want to be more present in my personal life and I suppose that goes for weddings too. I don’t do a lot of content creation / behind the scenes stuff at weddings (I certainly won’t be using those awful Meta glasses 🤮)
I rarely even remember to get my phone out to take a photo, let alone make reels! No shade to the photographers who do that, loads of people do it really well, the whole thing just gives me the ick!
I’d rather spend any spare time I get at weddings chatting to people, my couples, their guests, other suppliers and venue staff. This has served me well all these years, building real connections with real people! 💙

Anyway, I’m still here and I will be posting but I’m no longer stressing over views and likes. Life’s too short! Enjoy the sunshine folks! 😎
