Day 3 - G&T

Nothing like a Gotland G&T on the hill in the sunshine with my neighbaaas… and my hens who also followed me up 🤣 😁

Gotland Gin were one of the first small, craft distillers I was introduced to as a Sip & Share member during Covid times…

Named after their beautiful flock of Gotland Sheep, distilled using Scandinavian Lingonberries and brought to strength with crystal clear local spring water... juniper, citrus, fruity berriness and peppery spice….I really, really LOVE this gin!! In fact I really like all the Gotland Gins 😁

I always serve it 1 part gin 2 parts Walter Gregor's Tonic Water Original Scottish Tonic and garnished with lingonberries (or redcurrants… I’m out of lingonberries so it’s frozen redcurrants today) and lime.

Other photos are of some local lambs born in the last week and the hoggs that are on the hill behind my house ❤️🐑

I don’t have a lot of gin merchandise and what I do have is the same as last year so I’ve reused the photos!

My most used item of ‘merch’ is my bag 😁 I don’t use a handbag… I use this and I get many approving comments on it too 🤣

Day 1

Happy Selfie Day!!

Possibly the only day of the year I wear makeup 🤣

Usually I look more like the other selfies, hair tied, no makeup and if I’m not working I’ll be on a beach somewhere or usually with my camera 😁

Hi 👋, I’m Donna, I live in Wester Ross, Scotland, I’m mum to Ciará, I have a dog, a cat, two hens and a cockerel, I also have 3 visiting red deer hinds and my neighbours are sheep 😁

My summer job is at Gairloch Marine Wildlife Centre & Cruises and my winter job is in support/care work. I’m the area coordinator for BDMLR Wester Ross(middle pictures from training days), volunteer transporter for International Otter Survival Fund, RSPB Scotland pin badge volunteer, member of North West Scotland Mammal Group and later this month I’ll be doing my training to become a volunteer for Scottish Marine Animal Strandings Scheme. I love Wildlife, Photography and Gin!

As the founder of Withers Gin, I am proud to share our deep military connection. With a father who served in the RAF and a husband who is an Army veteran, our brand is rooted in a rich military heritage.

One of the inspirations behind Withers Gin is my late father, WG Commander Angus Balfour Crockatt AFC, a decorated fighter pilot instructor. In 1995, he led a formation of Hawk jets in the shape of a 50 over Buckingham Palace and the Queen to commemorate the 50th anniversary of D-Day and VJ Day. This incredible moment was captured in a photograph that now graces the back of our G Force bottle.

We were thrilled to debut at The International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford last weekend, where we showcased our exceptional gin and shared our military connection with fellow aviation enthusiasts and aircrew. Thank you to everyone who visited our stand and supported us.
