🍂 I’M BACK IN THE STUDIO! 🍂

After a lovely holiday, I’m officially back behind the camera and ready for the extremely busy few months ahead! 📸🤎

Now, I’ll admit… I’m definitely NOT loving this sudden drop in temperature 🥶😂 I’m already missing the sunshine!

But one thing I am absolutely loving are all these gorgeous AUTUMNAL VIBES! 🍁🎃🍂

The warm rusty oranges, rich earthy tones, tiny pumpkins and beautiful autumn leaves make the most gorgeous backdrop for newborn photos — and little Leo here understood the assignment perfectly! 🧡

There’s just something so cosy and timeless about an autumn baby session, and I’m so excited to be back in the studio creating beautiful memories like these again.

🌴✈️ I’M BAAAAACK!! 📸💗

The suitcase is unpacked… (well, let’s not get carried away, it’s probably still sitting somewhere waiting for me 😂), the Florida sunshine is already a distant memory, and JB Photography is officially OPEN again!

I’ve had the most amazing couple of weeks in Orlando — making memories, eating far too much good food, having adventures and, most importantly, actually taking some proper time away from work. ❤️

And I have to admit… I needed it.

The batteries have been well and truly RECHARGED 🔋, and now I’m ready to swap…

🌴 Palm trees for backdrops
🍹 Holiday drinks for coffee
🎢 Theme parks for cake smashes
☀️ Florida sunshine for good old Lancashire weather 😭😂
📱 Holiday mode for CAMERA MODE! 📸

And there’s certainly no gentle return to work because we are heading straight into one of the BUSIEST times of the year! 😬🎄

If everything has gone according to plan, I should now be feeling relaxed, refreshed and completely recharged…

Although knowing me, I’ll probably already have a million ideas for the studio going around in my head. 😂📸

I’ve had an amazing break, but I’m SO ready to get back to all my gorgeous customers.

JB Photography officially reopens 17th October! ❤️

Then it’s straight into newborns, families, cake smashes, weddings and CHRISTMAS! 🎄😬😂

🕯️ Wave of Light 2026 🕯️

Tonight, at 7pm, candles will be lit across the world in memory of all the precious babies who were taken from us far too soon. 💗

This year will be a little different for me. For the first time in 31 years, I won’t be able to light a candle for my angel girl, as I’ll be somewhere in the sky, flying home from Florida during the Wave of Light.

It feels strange knowing that I’ll be missing something that has meant so much to me for so many years.

But the truth is, I don’t need to be standing beside a candle to remember my beautiful little girl.

No matter where I am in the world, my heart will always be with my little angel, Kayleigh Hannah Louise, and all the other precious little angels who were simply too precious for this world.

Some people only get to hold their babies for a moment, but we carry them in our hearts for a lifetime.

So tonight, whilst thousands of candles flicker across the world, I’ll be looking out of that aeroplane window, somewhere above the clouds, thinking of my beautiful daughter and imagining her shining brightly amongst the stars.

October, November and December are always absolutely bonkers at JB Photography, and weekend appointments are especially limited.

So if you’ve been saying “I must get that booked…”

Don’t wait until you’ve lost weight, had your hair done, bought a nicer outfit or feel more confident.

Your children and grandchildren aren’t looking at all the little things you criticise about yourself.

They just see you. ❤️

Photographs become more valuable with every year that passes, and that’s one of the reasons I still absolutely love what I do after all these years. 📸
