Totally different to the usual content… but this was just too good not to share.

After falling in love with Metallica as a kid, I finally got to see them live for the very first time. Even better, I got to share it with our 8-year-old, who’s become just as obsessed with them.

He’s already decided that next time we’re breaking all the rules and heading into the standing area… fitting really, considering Metallica were busy breaking a few rules of their own last night by playing Delilah!!

What a show.

Absolutely incredible from start to finish and worth every second of the wait. It’s been 30 years since they’ve played here, so let’s hope we don’t have to wait that long again.

The Hollywood Tower Hotel.
Once a shining beacon for the showbiz elite — now standing silent above rain-soaked streets and flickering neon albeit with the odd scream here and there.

The reflections, the atmosphere, the storm rolling through Sunset Boulevard… everything felt suspended in time for a moment. Like stepping into an old film frame that never quite faded away.
