🍂 AUTUMN MINI SESSIONS – PLAN B 🍂

As you know, the Scottish weather likes to keep us on our toes! The forecast is looking a little stormy with high winds, but we won’t know for sure until the day.

Sometimes my spot at Kingseat is sheltered enough to go ahead, so I’ll make the final decision once I can see what the weather is actually doing on the day.

If it’s just too wild, please note our backup dates will be:

Friday 30th October
Sunday 1st November
Sunday 8th November

I will reach out to everyone on shoot day to discuss and re book.

Fingers crossed the weather plays ball and we can get those gorgeous autumn photos! 🤞🍂

Choosing your wedding photographer is about so much more than the photographs.

It’s about choosing someone who knows when to step in, when to have a laugh, when to gently guide you, and when to blend into the background and let you simply be.

Someone who makes you and your guests feel comfortable, who knows when to encourage those little moments you really want captured, and when to leave you to enjoy them without a camera in your face.

Because there’s a difference between photographing a wedding and being part of the experience in a way that makes everyone feel at ease.

You don’t want to spend your day feeling like you’re constantly being photographed, being told where to stand or what to do. You want to hug your people, have a drink, dance, get swept up in it all and actually ENJOY your wedding day.

My job is to know when to step in and when to step back. To capture the moments that matter, give you a little direction when you need it, and let the rest unfold naturally.

Beautiful photographs, absolutely. But an amazing day that you actually get to enjoy? Just as important.

I am having so many wonderful enquries in just now which makes me over the moon and already excited for 2027 and 2028 season. I was even asked about 2029 but my diary is not open for that season yet (sorry)

Prime dates as always have booked up fast so if you are wondering about your 2027/28 date please message and make sure to bag your fave wedding peeps. 2028 I would say is coming in hard now. But by xmas and Jan time everyone will go wild for planning. Beat the rush.

September has been a month of enquiries and securing your lovely weddings in my diary, we are now rolling into 27/2028 bookings with 3 booked in this week.

Between now and January couples usually aim for securing all their suppliers for the next 2 years ahead. If you have your venue locked in, next stop photo/video/MUA & hair followed by decor and entertainment. Make sure you get your dream team as you don't want to miss someone you hoped to have.

Some prime dates have gone for 2027 but if you feel like your date can be flexed come back to me. Sometimes the day before or after can be had.

Some weddings just have so much thought poured into them, and Emma & Stuart’s day was definitely one of those.

From the moment we arrived, there were beautiful little details everywhere and thoughtful touches, so much gorgeous styling with Illumin8 and Oddbunch flowers at the heart of it.

The room decor, the florals you could dream of, the tablescape cake, the seating plan, the romantic table styling, having a artist doing guest paintings, everything had so much love and thought into it and honestly romance and elegance was 💯 achieved.

The sun shone, the energy was happy from start to finish.

I’ll be sharing more of all those little touches soon because there are FAR too many good ones to squeeze into one post.

Loving all the lovely littles that are coming to the studio. ❤️ 💙 I love to give you those early memories together. It's a time that goes by in such a blur and it feels so busy. It’s so nice to take time as a family and come along and see me. I will help make it so relaxdd to capture and bottle it all up. These days are short and the 1st birthday comes in real fast.

We don't like having our photo taken? Does that sound about right for you too?

What if I told you that nearly everyone I meet may say that before they've met me....and what happens after their day is amazing and the opposite.

I help you relax and slow down. I take the stress away from the idea of the camera and people watching you on your wedding day. By blending and hardly noticing I am there so it makes it more enjoyable and when I am there, I am your friend that's there to help you every step.

You won't realise the moments I have captured until your gallery gets delivered. And that's the pure gold and a reflection of how you felt in that moment.

Top tips

Have the bubbles in hand.
Make sure the atmosphere is lit, music is a must.
Surround yourself with loved ones.
Pick besties that are hype squad
Don't get too caught up in the details
What will be will be.
Girls, the dress always gets dirty, you can't avoid it.
The shoes will always hurt, pack a plan B flat (you will thank me for this later)
Throw yourself into everyone around you.
Be in the moment with each other. Lock in to each others souls.

The best thing you can bring to your wedding photos? Each other.

Forget the timeline for a moment and forget the camera, just be one and together. Give me those sparkles in your eyes and being swept off your feet in the moment. Have fun and make each other laugh.

This is the moment you've been dreaming, planning, creating and saving for I will help make it so wonderful and so easy for you all.
