June is flying by and in typical Scottish fashion, the weather has been 'mixed'. But between the showers, there's been long evening walks, seabirds, wildflowers, cups of tea in the garden and moments that just remind me why it's such a gorgeous month.

Some things that caught my eye on our wknd in London. Almost 70kms walked and I have the mangled toes to show for it.
There's obvious recommendations for London and then there's a couple I'd like to mention:
• Barbican Conservatory .conservatory - an oasis of calm. Free but ticketed. They make a small number of tickets available on the day (around 9:30am) and we were lucky enough to snap some up.
• Daunt Bookstore . Busy but beautiful bookshop with shelves full of carefully chosen books that make it hard to leave empty-handed.

I'd also thoroughly recommend building in time to just wander.
