Walker Dam, Aberdeen

I was up trying to see the elusive kingfisher that you can find at the back of the dam on left of pic or behind the reeds on right of the pic. Depending on wind theres a calmness which makes for a nice mirror effect on the water

My garden

I created a 1 m square and piled in flower seeds from several mixture packets. Then I photographed the flowers where they grew - without any pruning or removing or clearing: I had to shoot them in Aberdeenshire weather. That is why I used a relatively high ISO and also a wide aperture. The latter of course also reduced background distraction and enabled a fast shutterspeed . Overall this meant that, with a tripod, I could do in camera focus bracketting of up to 100 focus points. Canon EOS R6m2, Canon EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM, f/2.8, ISO 500, 1/2,500.
