A stylish summer destination wedding at Château Engalin in the Gers, south-west France.

This couple travelled from New Zealand to celebrate with family and friends in a relaxed, elegant setting, with the focus on genuine moments, laughter, and connection.

Château Engalin is just one hour from Toulouse airport, making it an ideal venue for destination weddings in France.

The Castelnau des Fieumarcon is an unique venue. A former bastide village in Gers, south west France, the Castelnau boasts incredible views of Gascony.

It sleeps around 85 people so is perfect for three day weddings. It is a favourite with American couples and I can understand why.

These images are from the wedding of A & K. We had the most amazing day in September 2025.

As a France based English speaking wedding photographer who is local to this venue, I am well very well placed should you be considering getting married here.

Wedding photos from the Chateau du Puits es Pratx wedding of L and J back in September.

This British/American couple brought their families and friends together to celebrate their marriage in a gorgeous region of France - Occitanie. Surrounded by vineyards and in the charming town of Ginestas the team at the chateau were on fantastic form as always despite the weather (I think they experienced a bit of everything that weekend).

The vibe was relaxed. For the couple, it was all about spending time with their friends and family. And what a great bunch to photograph they were.

An October wedding in Castres, south west France and we were extremely lucky to have blue skies the entire day. In fact, the weather mid October was way better than it had been when I met the couple in Mirepoix back in June.

Being my last of the season I had the best luck - great couple, great vibe and some gorgeous light. You cannot ask for anything more.

Bride prep was a lot of fun. The girls had been friends for years and did their own hair and make up. It was organised chaos. They knew exactly what they were doing and of course, it all came together beautifully and on time.

The Groom and groomsmen hung out in the pool room. There were drinks and music and banter.

The ceremony was led by the uncle and godfather of the bride and it was at times funny and emotional. Cocktail hour and canapes, group photos and some less formal ones with the bridal party running down the grassy hill.

An entrance into dinner with serviettes being waved above the guests heads then into some speeches.

More speeches, cake cutting with an unusual knife and onto the dancefloor dj’d by a friend.

This was such a beautiful wedding.
I had not met the couple prior to arriving at the venue Domaine Le Castelet and when I did everyone was in the pool where they remained right up until the last minute. I thought that was the best use of time given how hot it was and I knew it was going to be a relaxed day with a fun couple.
The couple had told me that it was important to them to take time with them as a couple during the day. Often this is a rushed 10 or 15 minutes but with them I had 45 minutes and we moved around the venue.
With fabulous suppliers such as Poésie d'un Jour who made everything look beautiful (despite this reel being in bnw)

We had a couple of minutes with gorgeous bride H to capture this. I just pressed the shutter, she moved with grace & beauty. I love these.

I have to say that I look back at this wedding with fondness. Absolutely loved the couple L & J. They were relaxed and funny and gorgeous.

I also loved the venue and very much hope to return one day.
