She landed in Toulouse on her own, with four days and no plan to share them.

Six years of motherhood, and this was the first trip that belonged only to her. Tati flew in from Portugal, and on the last morning we walked through the centre while the light was still soft.

I did not ask her to pose. I asked what she had done the day before, and she told me about a bookshop she had found and a coffee she drank slowly, and somewhere in the middle of that sentence she stopped looking like someone being photographed.

That is what a solo session is for. Not proof that you were in a city. Proof that you were yourself in it.

Un bapteme a Saint-Pierre-de-Lages, tout pres de Toulouse.

Pour cette celebration, la famille a souhaite preserver l'intimite des visages. Alors j'ai photographie tout le reste: la robe transmise de generation en generation, la lumiere qui traverse les vitraux, les petites mains, l'eau sur le front, les gestes discrets d'une marraine.

Un bapteme se raconte aussi comme cela, par les details qui restent une fois la journee passee. C'est ma facon de travailler: en couleurs naturelles, au fil des instants, sans jamais interrompre la ceremonie.

The forecast said grey skies, and she texted twice that morning, asking if the photos would still work.

She's Italian, based in Sardinia, and she collects cities through portraits. Seville last month, Toulouse this week. Every new place, a session with a local photographer. The trip turns into something she keeps, not just a phone snapshot.

I told her what I tell everyone. Toulouse is good light or it isn't, but it's always beautiful. The pink brick holds its colour under cloud. There's softness in overcast that direct sun never gives.

We walked the city. Capitole, Daurade, the riverside, a quiet courtyard I keep for sessions like this. She left with the city she actually saw.

If you're travelling, book a photographer who knows the place. I know Toulouse, its angles, its light, the streets that frame you well. Come home with images that hold the trip.

Holidays are over, but I keep these moments in my heart

A cozy Christmas home session with three generations.
A mother and a father, their little daughter, and grandparents who traveled from another country just to spend time with their precious granddaughter.

There was laughter, homemade cookies, warm tea, small hands covered in flour, and so many quiet, beautiful moments in between. Nothing staged. Just real life, love, and togetherness.

This is exactly why I love lifestyle family photography.
Because these moments pass so quickly — but the memories can stay.

Some moments don’t ask for attention…
They simply happen — on the floor next to the Christmas tree,
in the warmth of a beautiful home,
in the way children laugh,
and in the way parents look at them.

These are the kinds of moments we forget to notice
and then miss years later.

Last Sunday I spent the afternoon with a wonderful family in their stunning Toulouse apartment — a place full of light, gold details, Christmas decorations and so much love.
And it reminded me why I do what I do.

Photography is not about posing.
It’s about keeping the feeling.
