Living in France for the 3rd time {Paris} as I keep coming back to say rebonjour {hello again}! ⚜️

love that it has been such a warm early spring for the last few weeks in Paris with many days 18/65 degrees & sunny with no jacket needed! ✨

This is one of my favourite parks/jardins in Paris - it’s the Jardin des Plantes in the 5th arrondissement & it has been there since 1635 - this pretty building houses the museum of natural history. The park also has the museum of mineralogy, museum of paleontology, large tropical greenhouses, a zoo and the largest botanical garden in France with more than 10,000 plant species! It’s a great place to go with kids or if you want a beautiful & quiet place to wander around away from the crowds ⚜️

in December I went to Strasbourg on the train for the day from Paris to see the Christmas lights throughout the city and it was impressive 🎄 {it is known as the capital of Christmas!} ~ but what I was really enamored with was how pretty the city is and all the charming buildings you can wander by along the canals! ⚜️

always a pretty sound to hear the bells of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame ring ~ there are 20 bells and they have been ringing since 1769! They all rang again for the first time since the fire only a couple of months ago, and now you can also climb up the bell towers and see a beautiful view of Paris from the top ⚜️

such a wonderful day having a picnic & exploring the beautiful Château de Maisons Laffitte with my niece this summer! It was built in the 1600’s & it was visited by Louis XI several times! ✨

The château is just outside Paris and you can easily reach it within 30min via the RER A train! For more details on this château & others close to Paris I have a blog post in the link in my profile ~ or just reach out to me with any questions you may have about visiting! ⚜️

last month I finally visited Claude Monet’s house, gardens & famous lily pond in Giverny {which is situated about an hour west of Paris} and it was beautiful! 🌺
