Built as a “garden for music” — and every petal is made of glass.
The Sala Lluís Millet at the Palau de la Música Catalana, Barcelona. Designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner and inaugurated in 1908, it is the only concert hall in the world declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The towering stained glass windows — bursting with hand-crafted floral mosaics — look out onto the building’s famous colonnaded balcony, flooding every surface with colour. Architecture doesn’t get more alive than this.
