‘A Message From The Kafunjo Team’
(PLEASE READ)
Things haven’t been looking great down at the project in these recent days. The price of food has skyrocketed and a full on lockdown has ensued nationwide. Members of the People’s Defence Force (Uganda’s Army) have been patrolling the streets enforcing their strict lockdown laws. At this stage the team is putting out pleas and sending off many kind donations to Bruno at the project whom is purchasing as many supplies as possible to keep the project running until the Coronavirus pandemic begins to fizzle out; whenever that may be. As well as crowdfunded donations, the project relies on its ‘Sponsor a Child’ initiative, in which anyone can sponsor one of the children at the project to make sure they can stay happy and healthy. As part of the child sponsorship initiative, twice a year, you will receive a letter from your child as well as a progress report from his or her teacher. On arrangement you can also FaceTime your child at the project and Bruno (the wonderful man in charge of the project) will provide personal updates via Facebook Messenger. I myself have recently started sponsoring one of the children at the project. He’s pictured in this shot and his name is Jordan. His smile and vivacious spirit sincerely resonated with me upon returning from the trip and as such I wanted to support him, and the project as much as I could. If you would like to support the project, either through donation or child sponsorship, and if you are so inclined, please visit the Kafunjo Community Project page and the Kafunjo: Sponsor A Child page or get into contact via email ([email protected]) for any enquires you might have. Any donation or sponsorship during such a troubled time for the project is massively, exponentially appreciated by myself, the team and the 300+ children at the project. I will also be adding to my profile the link to Kafunjo’s GoFundMe, if you are so inclined any donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much for reading.
