🌷
Pleased to present three fascinating live performances as part of the forthcoming edition of Crak Festival #8, from 26 to 28 September, 2019 at Saint-Merry church in Paris 🏹
« Resonant Field » by American composer Lea Bertucci, exploring relationships between acoustic phenomena and biological resonance by way of sound, channeled through her alto saxophone
A rare performance by percussionist Mohammad Reza Mortazavi, pushing the language of Persian drums far beyond their traditional folk roots, embracing the simultaneous playing of polyrhythmic beats, sophisticated melodies and a broad spectrum of overtones
« Perceptual Geography », a new solo live project by Thomas Ankersmit, based on the pioneering research of - and dedicated to - American sound artist Maryanne Amacher (1938-2009)
The festival program also includes « Occam Ocean », an orchestral piece written by Eliane Radigue and performed by Onceim, Pancrace, Martin Tétreault, Tijana Stankovic and Hubbub
