What if you saw OPPORTUNITIES instead of OBLIGATIONS? This frame of mind would better prepare you to conquer the unexpected. There's so much in the ability to look at things as something you GET to do versus something you HAVE to do. A different way to frame your day in a positive light, detached from feelings of chore or obligation against your will.

Be thankful, look for gratitude in all that Nature brings your way. There's good reason for it, and only a reasoned mind will remain unaffected by emotional impact when things don't go your way.

It is a privilege to have these opportunities, to experience struggle and be sharpened. Do not impose your will on the world, simply go with it and your own nature will influence it; bringing luck and fulfillment. It is destructive to let yourself get upset at the unpredictable, so just breathe through it.

Some days start on a high note, and end low. Others start low and finish high. Such is how the Universe intends to present its challenges to you each day... Mostly unpredictable, and demanding that you trust in a higher power.

Can one ever be prepared for the randomness of it all? Only if you believe in your inherent capability to accept whatever may come.

Seek a life of fulfillment, but do to not tie your personal expectations to any of it. This perspective will demand you to love your fate, to frame your suffering as illusionary and passing. To be content with each day that comes and simply allows you to draw breath once more.

Life is not a steady stream but a long river of rocky turns and constant flow. It can be difficult to keep up. It may feel like you can never catch up. Flow with it.

Be good to others and learn to let go. Remind yourself to live in the 'now' and enjoy what it has to offer.

As Eckhart Tolle puts it, "The present moment is all you ever have. There's never a time when your life is not this moment."

It can be hard to swallow when something you have done with great care and effort is dismissed, or poorly acknowledged. While it can feel disappointing, and downright disrespectful, was praise really the goal of your actions? Is it not more fulfilling that your effort put forth an action which resulted in something positive for another being?

You have done good, what you thought to be right, and cared for others. That was not always met with reciprocity, and that surely did not feel good, but Nature will bring forth what you need most. Be noble, without expectations, and do not seek praise. Trust the process, with all its challenges, and enjoy the present moment.

As Marcus Aurelius so concisely put it, "If it's endurable then endure it, stop complaining."

Thanks everyone for the support in 2019 (16,689 likes!). I fell off the map after my grandmother died, lost my taste for social media, and wanted some time to collect myself. In 2020, I will begin posting again.
