This lockdown in Melbourne has been great from the point of view of going through hundreds of negatives and slides over the past 30 years and coming across memories of friends , family and also seeing how film stocks have changed 😁. I never realised I shot so much Kodachrome 64 and 200 all with my grandfather’s Nikon F and a Contax 139 both with 50s ( extremely difficult to scan well ) . To see details or images compositions and memories from so long ago ... 😊.. love photography 🙏🏻 .

Tokyo 2008 / The old and new / Leica MM and some lens I forget .

Keiko’s Kisatten / A very warm family run Kissaten in Ginza Tokyo in one of the streets that run across from the landmark Apple store Ginza . This cafe was run by Keiko Nishi an actress from a 1970’s TV series called - Ultraman Ace . Sadly they have had to close after 30 years due to rising rents . They were gracious enough to allow me to capture their last 2 days and the last Sando that went out . I felt sad to see this happen to her and her husband, son and daughter in law that ran it with her . Great atmosphere, very good Japanese style coffee and that classic Kissaten atmosphere 👌🏻. These Images were captured in the last week of 2019 .
