Last weekend of a warm August, I was lucky enough to discover Orléans — a city full of quiet charm and human scale.
📸 This summer was filled with shoots, travels, and countless photos on my phone and computer, it’s time to share more of those stories with you.
Orléans surprised me:
🤍 Calm, cozy streets in a Parisian style — but without tourist crowds.
🤍 Huge Ukrainian flags waving proudly on the way to the Cathedral.
🤍 White stone paving in the city center that makes it shine in the sun.
🤍 Friendly people and a welcoming atmosphere.
🍦 Don’t miss trying the cookie-flavored ice cream at Glaces Moustache Orléans Atisan Glacier — such a sweet discovery!
The whole city feels smaller than my Kyiv neighborhood back home, yet full of beautiful architecture, history, and light.
🚋 A quiet modern tram glides along old streets, carrying you from the station through the main square, shopping center, across the Loire river — where birds find their sanctuary.
⚜️ But above all, Orléans is the city of Jeanne d’Arc — a symbol of faith, courage, and feminine power. In the darkest times, a woman became not just a symbol, but a guide leading her people to victory.
That’s how I will remember Orléans: calm, warm, and inspiring. A perfect place for a day trip or a peaceful weekend. 🌿
