🌸 Sakura season at Yasukuni Shrine was incredible 🇯🇵

What makes this place even more interesting is that the official blooming announcement for Tokyo’s cherry blossom season is based on a specific sakura tree inside Yasukuni Shrine 🌸📍

As soon as enough flowers bloom on that tree, the Japan Meteorological Agency officially declares the start of sakura season in Tokyo.

Walking through the shrine surrounded by cherry blossoms, falling petals, and crowds of people taking photos made it easy to understand why this spot is so famous 📸⛩️

🌸 靖国神社の桜は本当に素晴らしかったです🇯🇵

実は、東京の桜の開花発表は、靖国神社にある標本木を基準に行われています🌸📍

その木に一定数の花が咲くと、気象庁が東京の桜の開花を正式に発表します。

桜に囲まれた境内や、花びらが舞う景色、多くの人が写真を撮っている雰囲気はとても印象的でした📸⛩️

Definitely one of my favorite day trips during cherry blossom season 🇯🇵🌸

🇬🇧 Mid-March I went back to Enoshima, hoping—once again—to finally get a clear view of Mount Fuji. It has always been a bit shy with me, hiding behind the clouds every time ☁️🙈

This time, though, the morning light was perfect 🌅✨, and I managed to capture it from the seaside walkway leading to the island 🌊📸. Later in the day, a soft haze rolled in 🌫️, but I still had the chance to shoot again in the late afternoon, pushing my 400mm to its limits 🔭🔥

🇯🇵 3月中旬、江の島に再び訪れました。今度こそ富士山をはっきり見たいと思っていました。これまでずっと雲に隠れてしまって、どこか恥ずかしがり屋のようでした ☁️🙈

しかし今回は、朝の光が完璧で 🌅✨、島へと続く海の遊歩道からその姿をしっかりと捉えることができました 🌊📸。午後になると少し霞が出てきましたが 🌫️、それでも夕方には400mmレンズを使って撮影することができました 🔭🔥

Yokohama, Osanbashi Pier.
We went there to catch the skyline at sunset. Clear view, good light, perfect timing. But the real highlights came unexpectedly.
A cruise ship started leaving the port 🚢. At the very front, the captain was standing still, looking straight ahead as the ship moved out toward the open sea. Simple scene, but very striking.
At the same time, looking between the buildings, you could clearly see the silhouette of Mount Fuji 🗻 in the distance.
Two moments we didn’t plan, both worth the trip.

Walking through Yokohama Chinatown with the camera always ready 📸

You don’t really follow a plan—just move, stop, look 👀
A detail, a glance, a particular outfit 👘 and you slow down

Some people pass by quickly, others catch your attention for a second
Colors, expressions, small moments in the middle of the crowd 🔴🟡

It’s a constant stop-and-go
See something → frame it → shoot 🎯

From the top of Tokyo Tower, Tokyo stretches endlessly in every direction. 🏙️✨
But the real surprise appears on the horizon… the majestic Mount Fuji. 🗻
Using a 400mm lens, the distance almost disappears.
Fuji looks enormous, as if it’s standing right behind the city, silently watching over Tokyo. 🔭🏙️
A moment where scale, light, and perspective play tricks on your eyes. 📷✨
