Born with a deep connection to nature and animals my passion is to capture the stories of unique personalities and untamed souls, combined with the purity of their breathtaking environment. Dramatic weather as well as the ocean air, midnight sun or northern lights could be part of my photography, while all my work is created with respect, love and care for our nature and its beautiful souls. So incredibly happy to see these images awarded 1st place at the International Photography Awards in the Nature/Domestic Animals category.
This award belongs to them.
To the horses who carry me to places I could never reach alone. Who run through storms, cross rivers, climb mountains, move through snow, wind and endless landscapes - creating moments that could never be planned or recreated and that turn ordinary moments into something magical.
I’m the one behind the camera, but they are the reason these images exist.
I am just so happy being able to tell a small part of their story.

As the wind grew stronger and the sand filled the air, the horses never fought what they couldn’t change.

They adapted. They trusted themselves. They kept moving.

Icelandic horses don’t waste energy wishing for easier conditions.
They lower their heads, trust the herd, and keep going.
