I took out the Intax Square today for a first foray into Brighton. Well Hove actually, for this is the Lagoon.
Learning point here is how it's REALLY difficult to get the verticals right in that tiny viewfinder!

I put 9 year expired Kodak Tri-X 400 film into a 1990's Ricoh 35ZF, mainly to see if it still worked.
This is a newish footbridge across the Lewes Road on the University of Brighton, Moulsecoomb campus.

Continuing my adventure with my ‘new’ Instax SQ6, shots 6 and 7 are keepers. Here we have the Brighton landmark of the Royal Pavilion and my friend Simon who has trundled around in his time with a Polaroid Land Camera and was well impressed with this result.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been using three film cameras made across the previous century and yesterday, arriving in the post, was a secondhand Fujifilm Instax SQ6 which I bought because of the creative control it offers, unavailable in current equivalent models. It may seem unlikely but even more than with a film camera, if you want a decent shot you have to think! The first test shot was a disaster, I forgat that the camera flashes automatically unless overridden, but the second, an interception on the stairs, I was most pleased with. 😍
