Naples 2026

A 2:30am start, a packed bus into Naples and a bit of time to kill before checking into the hotel led us to Pizza and Spirits— and what a find. Amazing pizza, a local beer, wine for Becky and, of course, the kids' "holiday Fanta." 😂

Then we checked in, headed up to Castel Sant'Elmo had a Spritz overlooking Naples and finished the night with some fantastic pasta.

The next day came the big surprise — my mum and sister had secretly flown out for my son's 18th birthday. ❤️

From making proper Neapolitan pizza, exploring Herculaneum and climbing Vesuvius to ice creams, €15 Eurospin hauls, seafront evenings, Pulcinella's lucky nose and way too many mosquito bites. 😂

Naples was loud, chaotic, beautiful, rough around the edges and completely full of character.

Would I go back? Absolutely.

Would I stay there again? Probably not. 😂

But most importantly, we got to spend a really special birthday together as a family.

Naples, you were a bit mad — but we had a bloody good time. 🇮🇹❤️
