Am Wochenende war ich mit den Hundefreunde Düren e.V. im Wildpark Schmidt unterwegs. 🐕🌲
Es war ein richtig schöner Tag – tolle Gesellschaft, frische Waldluft und natürlich jede Menge Hunde-Action. 🐾✨

Zwischen Wildtieren, Naturwegen und guter Laune sind auch ein paar richtig schöne Aufnahmen entstanden, die ich euch hier nicht vorenthalten möchte. 📸💚

Solche Ausflüge zeigen mal wieder, wie viel Freude Vierbeiner uns schenken – und wie wertvoll die Zeit in der Natur ist. 🌿🐺

My three-day hiking adventure from France, Dunkirk, to Belgium, De Haan! The first day was a dream: I strolled past the breathtaking beach pavilions of Malon-les-Bains and enjoyed the bright sunshine. ☀️

Welcome to prehistoric times

At the beautiful Pairi Daiza Zoo in Brugelette (Belgium), there are not only elephants, pandas & co. to marvel at at the moment - but also real dinosaurs! 😱🦕 Okay, not quite real - but they look damn lively! Many of them move, roar and are really impressively staged. A must for dinosaur fans!

Am 26. März 2024 war ich im Kölner Zoo, da gab es bereits einen kleinen Neuzugang aus dem Jahr 2023. Am 23. Februar kam "Taro", ein neues Elefantenbaby dazu. Ich bin gespannt ihn mit der Kamera festhalten zu dürfen. Bis bald 😉✌

Falls jemand an diesem Wochenende noch nichts vor hat, ein Besuch im Zoo lohnt sich immer 🥳

After several visits to Pairi Daiza Zoo, I finally saw the shoebill - an impressive bird!

During my research, I found out that Pairi Daiza was the world's first captive bred bird in 2008 (Wikipedia). Even if zoos with their ‘captivity’ are not the best habitat for animals, they still make an important contribution to species conservation. Many animal species that are threatened with extinction, mainly due to human influence, are kept and bred in zoos - one of the few ways to preserve their biodiversity. 💪

Gestern wieder einmal eine Tour in Kelmis gemacht. Einen Teil der Narzissenwanderung gemacht, Lontzen gesehen und an der Eyneburg vorbei. 15 km hinter mir gelassen und die frische Luft genossen ✌
