What a beautiful wedding last Tuesday at the fabulous Château de Roussillon, near Cahors. Ancient stone walls, soft evening light, the moon rising over the landscape, and two people completely wrapped up in each other.

Such a wonderfully joyful day, from the quiet little moments to the champagne celebrations at the end. 🥂

Self portrait. 2026

I created this image with my beautiful daughters, who are learning the trade by my side for an upcoming photography feature which is landing soon.

It’s all about female photographers. I was so honored to be part of it- because I love a story and a story telling lens.

Once upon a time a really wanted to go to NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Arts) for Cinemaphotography. I loved how a still or moving image could make an impact using environment and light. How it could really move you. Movies which captured my imagination as a child was The Secret Garden (1993), Out of Africa (1985), Chocolat (2000) & Amélie (2001) all had a massive impact on my visual style. My lack of belief in myself didn’t get me to NIDA- but the camera was still around me so a different path was walked.

I think while I will not follow my original idea of film making (I have gorgeous friends in the industry who do that subliminally well) I will continue to direct, and help others bring out their true self without feeling the need to hide.
Celebrate their beautiful self or the work they do. The moment you look unauthentic it screams at me so part of my job is to make sure you don’t. That is part of being a great director a clever mentor once told me- The first shot is for the camera the second is really them.

Part of the wonderful perk of photographing weddings is the beautiful and moving poetry that the couple special people choose for them on their wedding day.

In France Poetry is such a massive part of the French culture, my girls were taught it from age 3 in Ecole. I always have time for it.

This particular one was read at a wedding last year and I was reminded of it yesterday. My beautiful couple from a few weeks back, the bride has a story, and one which has been filled with love. This reminded me of you E and the love J has for you. Beautiful and strong.

Looking forward to seeing you both grow and built your home together.
