I wasn’t born here in France, Australia is my motherland but France is my soul and it has nurtured my babies so beautifully.

My daughter running down to swim at my friend’s pool at on a hot Sunday evening at 6pm.
Big trees, birds and beautiful light. Very blessed to raise our kidlets around such peace. ✌️

I have been in full swing chatting to planners, videographers and sometimes celebrants about my clients weddings that are coming up during July, Aug & September.

Your details matter to me, call it because I used to work in events too and I know it’s not great to pull you out announces for your golden hour shots when the chef wanted to serve mains! 🙌

If everyone knows what’s going on the day runs so smoothly. So this is the things I do when I am not photographing, I am making sure I know you, I know what shots you want to capture and the people not to miss.

Domaine NJC has a little secret 🤍

We named our vineyard block “the secret garden” after the book we’d read to our girls… but it earned the name honestly. Growing vines & building something from nothing takes work. A lot of work. And we spent so much time out there it quietly became ours.

After years of pulling out trees & planting the flowers the bees love, Nick turned this little patch near Limoux into a gem. Organic Cabernet, a thousand-year-old village, and wine tastings hosted by the winemaker himself.
If “vines, France, wine” lives somewhere on your list… consider this your sign. I highly recommend. Truly.

Three years ago, this family bought their French escape. 🤍

They lead very busy lives, with full on careers, and France is where they can be.

Every year since, they ask me to photograph them here. And every year it becomes something more than a shoot. A friendship. Their son a little taller. This time the streets of Carcassonne was our playground for the evening, just them, in their own little bubble.

This year Rebecca sent me words I won’t forget:

“Alex, no kind words needed, you are an incredibly talented photographer. I cherish these photos each year and love what we are creating.”

This is exactly why I love being an artist! Not for perfect poses, but for the moments a family feels all over again years later. For the proof of how much they love each other.

If you’re dreaming of documenting your own family here in the South of France, season after season, I would love to be the one behind the camera. And coming from a mother- they grow TOO 💨 FAST!

Recently I heading down to one of my favorite beaches Gruissan Plage France with my wedding couple for a pre wedding shoot before their amazing wedding in 2027 at .

Their brief was simple natural tones, and showing how much they love each other. Gorgeous moment with them at sundown, and loved meeting you before the wedding day.

My work and my life in France. I think there is a lot of pressure these days about business and what you do base on the “trends” of socials!!!

It’s all a bit much really. If you enjoy what you do success will follow. You can’t pretend enthusiasm, talent or passion. People see through it…. just be yourself. Follow your own artist lens. Create what inspires you. That’s it! Night night x

Btw this was my own writing… I am also tired of too many photographers using AI to write their captions! Your artist for goodness sake- say what you think!!! Shock me perhaps it might be more interesting!!!!
