Well it appears it's goodbye to the Unimog at spurn. This truck has greeted me on every adventure at spurn beach and has been a test bed for new camera equipment and photography techniques for many years now.
Sadly the is no longer at spurn and has moved on to new adventures. Long live the Unimog.

Since everybody's gone moon crazy this week i figured it was time to share this image and shamelessly jump on the band wagon.
I'd like to thank my first officer Jessica Princess Paws for co piloting this mission to bradgate park to photograph the crescent moon and venus. I'm pleased to report the expedition was a complete success, no doubt in part to miss Paws' excellent navigation skills.

The crescent moon and venus peaking through the clouds as a cold January day comes to a close.

There's a lot of talk about the new nasa mission to the moon, and i think it's a great celebration of human ingenuity. Especially with all the doom, gloom, death and destruction around at the moment.

Plus, I've recently bought a new lens to up my moon photography game.
Naturally, the weather has gotten news of this and decided I shall have nothing but wall to wall cloud for the forseable future. 😐
So until the great British weather plays ball, here's one I made earlier.

I've got that itch for adventure at the moment, but with fuel prices going crazy just got to wait and see what sort of trip the budget will stretch to.🤔🤔

You wouldn't believe the amount of people I had to photoshop out of this shot to get the right kind of landscape meets street photography vibe.😅

The one thing I was completely oblivious to when I booked my first trip to Iceland was how popular it was. Even in November, with the wind driving the torrential rain sideways, people were still out in droves queuing up to see these obviously immense and beautiful geological features like it was a ride at Disneyland.
In my defence, I had no idea where i was going, I booked the Iceland trip on impulse, having not done any research into where the photopills tour would be taking us. I just wanted an adventure with my camera, and I thought Iceland looked cool, so booked it!😅
Totally glad i did, even if i did have to pay the photography tax in the form of hundreds of Chinese tourists. 😁

standing where you can no longer stand.
According to social media the sea has swallowed a large chunk of the black sand beach where this photo was taken.
That's a real shame, but that's nature, i guess.
Glad to have had the opportunity to visit it, is such an amazing location. I really need to hurry back before some other force of nature swallows all my other planned photography spots.
