Waking up in a 13th century château in the middle of exceptional Sauternes vineyards in . This exceptional hotel reveals itself through an unprecedented symbiosis of worlds: Sauternes wine, crystal, gastronomy and hospitality. All the interiors are adorned with precious crystal pieces and the simplicity of the architectural lines is offset by the refined furnishings and sophisticated accessories inspired by the vine (set in bed frames, chests of drawers, bedside tables, mirrors and sofas by Lalique of course)
This is also a famous Sauternes wine estate producing Premier Grand Cru Classé and it’s home to a two-MICHELIN starred restaurant Lalique where chef experiments with different ways of using Sauternes: infusion, maceration, fermentation, crystallization, poaching, integrating many facets and components of the Sauternes region into his cuisine. The restaurant faces the famous vineyards and we saw it turn golden while watching the sun set over the estate ✨
is a true heaven of peace (with only 3 suites and 10 rooms) located in a charming Sauternes region (so worth discovering too) and of course a destination in itself. I will miss the serenity of surrounding landscapes, the quiet nature around, sense of detail and harmony in every corner of this sublime estate, exceptional cuisine and peaceful atmosphere of this centuries old chateau. A real gem ✨
