The water was too high to kayak down the famous Saut du Doubs and as we were heading off these two highliners set off at night with their headlamps to set their line above the waterfall ✨

It was still too high to run it the following morning but I was ready with camera in hand to capture this beautiful moment 🙏

Thank you for all the love you've given to our family and especially our shared father AND mother ❤️‍🩹 Thank you for bringing him out on walks every morning 🌅 being by mum's side in the campervan being a good copilot telling her all the good spots to stay and enjoying the roadtrips she had prepared for you all 🥰🚐

Thank you for the times you've chased wild animals in the mountains or sheep in Ireland and we'd have to chase you for hours only to find you back at our house tail between you legs saying "that was fun wasn't it?!! Let's do that again" 🫣🤣✨

I had forgotten to wish you Happy 5th Birthday last week and now well you're not here but so present in our torn hearts 💕

Oh how I will miss you 😢 We all will 🤍🐾🤍

May your paws carry you into that next chapter of yours ✨ May you walk in our Dad's shadow as you were already doing and heal his broken heart 💔 🥹

2016... What's the fuss about this year?

Thought I'd jump on this little trend and I have to say I was quite grateful for it!!

What an epic year that was!

1. Joined the Freeride World Tour media team and my first stop was.... Alaska! What a way to start the year. 🌄 Was even able to ski some epic lines as well!! ⛷️ 🏔️

2. Actually just before that I woke up on January 1st on the Eastcape of New Zealand, then some shenanigans with . No I was really there training to try and qualify for 2016 Rio Olympics. But that didn't happen in the end... Looking at all the pictures made me realise that my heart was already far away from this racing world. It was out there, already looking at the world through new eyes. My face on my very last race says it all, already looking far away. 🙇‍♂️❤️‍🔥

3. To top this entire year I followed and on an epic journey on the Indus River in Pakistan. Reopened the Rondhu Gorge after 8 years without any kayakers going down it (as far as we knew). Ran the most insane rapids, discovered the wonderful Pakistani culture and its people, did my first short film that went on a crazy festival tour after that! 🎬🇵🇰🤍

4. Went back to NZ a second time at the end of that year for a film with some Czech friends & 🌊

5. Landed my first magazine cover with the drone photo of my dear friend Valentin on our local frozen river, the Isère... 🔱

I mean! What a year ✨🤍✨

Still looking back at this year made me realise even more how fortunate I am to have lived this sort of lifestyle. With what's going on in the world right now and level of separation there is, looking back has a bitter taste to it. Yet I see more love and togetherness coming out of this, but why all this suffering? Why all this violence? Why all this hatred? Why so many deaths? 🥺

Oh world, you make no sense and at the same time you do... ❤️‍🩹

May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering ✨

Gittaz or Gitte means "reject" in the local Savoyard dialect. It is where trees would fall and could be exploited to build the famous mountain chalets of the region ✨🤍✨

It's good to be back where it all started for me as a photographer and filmmaker. Our beloved river 🌊 🤍

Little paddle with a friend with whom I've been on many trips and missions all those 16 years behind a camera. From the worlds slalom racing banks to the wildest of rivers. From New Zealand to Patagonia and back to our home in the french Alps 🏔️ 🌄🤍

Here's the first picture I took of 2026. A place I have kayaked through many many times. Yet this time I was on the bank mesmerised by the beauty of the shades and nuances of a place that does not see the sun for many months ❄️

Only the last rays of the setting sun catching the top of the trees 🌄

A place filled with many stories across the ages, many souls have crossed this old roman bridge.

🤍 My heart has frozen 
Only Your warmth can make me melt again

Oh my heart has frozen
Yet I am still drawing You  Look at the shapes I've carved in Your image 🩵  Ice climbing is quite unique. One can hear the water gushing behind the frozen waterfall and finishes completely drenched by the end. 💦 ❄️ 🥶   Yet how beautiful it is, how mesmerising and hypnotic. The right negative temperatures over a few days can create such wonders and an instant it can disappear. Tumbling down to the ground. One day the waterfall is thriving and the next it's completely frozen. 🧊

Yet still growing somehow, unnoticed by all. ✨

"Oh winter how I long to see your full winter coat
covering our landscape and our hearts   Inviting us to come inside in front of a warm fire Yet it is hard to resist the temptation to play on your divine playground  Oh how tempting you are" ❄️🤍🏔️  There's something so unique about this season for us that live in areas where we have real winters. What I mean by real is basically full on snow covered landscapes. ✨  A season to go inwards. Inviting us to allow the change to happen in the same way that autumn slowly gives space for winter to settle. The very end of earth's exhale before the void retention. 🌬️  A void filled with beauty for the ones that have the eyes to see it. Slow change is how nature works yet sometimes it snatches your roots without warning. 🙇‍♂️  As if saying "it is time now beautiful One, it is time..." 🥹⛓️‍💥🔱  Here are a few snaps across the years there'll be many more to come. 📸  What have you got planned this winter?
