I have just got back from a lovely weekend away with my daughter we left Friday afternoon and drove from the Puy-de-Dôme mountains here in France where we live to the hot plateau of Valensole, an amazing drive of six and a half hours through the spectacular scenery of France to the heady smell of the lavander fields of the Valensole plateau.
We got up early to catch sunrise on Saturday morning and waited patiently for the sun to rise and give colour to the sky, as we waited hot air balloons rose up as the first light broke, lighting the field and the little stone barn sat in a little dip surrounded by lavender, what a perfect start to a perfect day.
I photographed away capturing this lovely moment but I also photographing those around me a little thing I love to do I love capturing fleeting moments happening around me.
