Meet Hannah & Isaac, owners of the Blue LWB Sprinter 🐋!!
Here are 5 things to why Hannah & Isaac chose a van lifestyle!
Why did you choose Van life?
~ During our first year of uni we stayed in halls and thought it was comical what £155 per week got you (not an awful lot). We saw the trouble our friends were going through trying to find a decent house to live in for second year and realised that life wasn’t for us. We looked into alternate living and thought van-life suited us best. We put our student loans together and invested in our van, a reliable home that will be ours outright after finishing our studies.
~ What does your van mean to you?
Our van means flexibility and comfort, the ability to pull up anywhere and feel at home. Of course we can park up with some great views out the window, but ultimately when we are inside the van, we are in our own world - often forgetting what is outside & living in the moment.
~ How long did it take to convert?
Our van took roughly 5 months to finish. We moved into the van for about 5 weeks, half way through the conversion, which helped us to realise what finishing touches were needed to make the van function best for us.
~ What’s the hardest part about living in a Van?
We started researching van builds about 6 months before we purchasing ours. We thought our van through throughly and realised that having a large fridge-freezer, oven, hot shower and a wicked solar set-up were essentials. Also, having the ability to fit 6 comfortably around our table for social occasions was something we wanted. We feel our build is pretty spot on for our needs. And so the hardest part is probably driving her in Cornish windy weather. Keeping her tidy can be a bit of a chore aswell.
~ What your van called?
Our van is called Wilma, Wilma the whale.
