In the land of these giants, I’m constantly drawn to the textures and colours of Icebergs. The wind scarred faces of these icebergs with their lines and layers constantly eroded by Antarctic conditions. And below the surface, the blue deepens into glowing gradients that shift from turquoise to the dark water.

During my time in Antarctica, I was constantly using the drone to reveal perspectives and colours to try and create images that captured the true scale of these ice giants.

Timing is everything in wildlife photography, especially when you miss it.

This gentoo penguin had perfect form leaping from the water, but I was just a fraction late on the shutter. Even so, there’s beauty in the imperfection and a reminder that nature always moves on its own schedule.

Amid the vast silence of the Antarctic Peninsula, a lively debate unfolds on an iceberg stage. In this frozen expanse, even the Gentoo voices echo loudly.

My first week of filming in the Antarctic Peninsula has just wrapped!

By far the most incredible aspect of my time so far in Antarctica is the density of wildlife that the peninsula ecosystem supports.

Paulet island was one of my favourite filming locations and is home to approximately 100,000 breeding pairs of Adelie Penguins who are endemic to Antarctic coastal waters. The noise alone created by the colony is remarkable.

I look forward to sharing some footage soon in the meantime here are some frames from in the field.

I’m headed South, to Antarctica! 🇦🇶

I’m currently sat in the airport starting the long journey south, to embark on an incredible 48-day project in Antarctica and the South Atlantic Ocean.

As the lead filmmaker, I’ll be capturing the breathtaking beauty of the Antarctic Peninsula and South Georgia creating tourism brand films that showcase its stunning landscapes and unique wildlife.

In the summer months, the Antarctic Peninsula puts on a marine wildlife spectacle that is unlike anywhere else on the planet and I’m really excited to work alongside the extremely talented field guides and naturalists to learn more about this unique, isolated continent.

Stay tuned for updates and behind-the-scenes.

Back in November I was onboard SV Resilience a science research sailing vessel and I had the chance to sail with the team along the US East Coast from Boston to South Carolina. These frames are some selects from documenting the expedition side of the journey and the scientists we met along the

Our passage plan to deploy ARGO floats (data collection devices for ocean temperatures, currents and hurricane predictions) in the North Atlantic Ocean was disrupted by rough conditions caused by cold winter storms coming down from Canada and the remains of warm hurricane winds coming up from Florida.

Our new route led to a unique experience to sail through New York City, which is something I won’t forget anytime soon. Meanwhile, the team are currently off-shore right now completing the deployment of ARGO floats for .ocean

I’m back in the Alps, packing for the next expedition this time taking me all the way south 🇦🇶 more to come on that soon!

Just wrapped up 23 days of expedition storytelling with the National Geographic Pristine Seas team. It was a pleasure to work with such a knowledgable, passionate team of scientists, camera ops and expedition leaders.

Frames from a sequence following a dropcam deployment. Here Whitney deploys the dropcam capable of descending to the deepest parts of our seas. This technology developed in-house by NatGeo enables her to bring back unique footage of the ecosystem and species that live in the deep sea giving us a better understanding of life on the dark sea floor.

Often known as the “Fantôme de la forêt” (Ghost of the forest) due to their illusive behaviour, nocturnal movements and large territories the small population estimated at approx 150 individuals of Boreal Lynx inhabits parts of the French and Swiss Jura mountains and other forested regions in France.

It’s taken me around three months from walking through some of the more wild areas of forest looking for indications of a Lynx’s presence to installing my first camera traps in the region.

Finally, I’ve been rewarded with my first glimpse of a Boreal Lynx. It triggered one of my camera traps numerous times within a period of 7 - 10 days this January. Photos two and three show the trail and placement of camera trap.
