Long time no see! I'm glad to share with you through my lens one of my favourite places on earth, the Chamonix valley.
Over the course of three weeks this summer I went out hiking/running and contemplating life here in Chamonix. I had the joy to share a part of my trip with my dear friend whom I've convinced to run down mountains and have sunrise ascents.
I've also reached a milestone myself during this trip of climbing well above 3000m which is to me the start of something fun!

Oregon, USA 2023.

Last few pictures I'll be sharing of my time in the US last year. This was our first hike after landing in Portland, we drove up stream the columbia river and hiked up to the top of dog mountain, it wasn't the best days to get a view over the river but the trail was going through beautiful pine forests.

Washington state, 2023.
During our road trip around olympic national park we decided to climb a peak, giving a beautiful view of Mt Rainier. The idea was to climb in the night to catch the first rays of sun but also to avoid avalanche risks as we were climbing a south facing face. It was great but nerve wracking because this was in cougar region and we had no real knowledge of the local cougar population or how to defend ourselves if we where attacked by one. We left around 5am and made it back to the the trail head by mid-day. We had to stop about 100 meters beneath the summit because the traverse we had to do to get there was to exposed and we were too under-equiped to do the traverse safely.

Olympic national park, 2023.
During my time on the Pacific Northwest, my brother and I did a road trip around the Olympic park. During that trip we hiked and climbed a mountain, we drove by the ocean, we did a lot of sightseeing and we also stopped in Blyn at the s’klallam office where there was artwork on display from the s’klallam tribe, it was a very meaningful stop for me as I was trying to find connection and understanding of the native communities the in the PNW.

California, 2023.
After the new year’s eve the plan was to hit the wave with my brother and brother in law and no better place than Santa Cruz for that. The waves were thereto greet us that evening and we got a session in at sunset. On our way back up the pacific coast highway a few days later we stopped in the redwood forest and took the time to walk through these steady giants overlooking my steps on the earth trail beneath.
