It’s fantastic to see more and more women becoming part of the classic sailing scene and bringing their passion, energy and skills to these legendary yachts.

A faithful recreation of the legendary Herreshoff yacht Elena, originally launched in 1910 and designed by the visionary naval architect Nathanael Greene Herreshoff for Morton F. Plant.

Launched in 2009 from Herreshoff’s original plans, ELENA OF LONDON beautifully unites the elegance and spirit of early 20th-century yacht design with modern engineering and safety.

At 55 metres (180 feet), she is more than a racing yacht — she is a living piece of sailing history.

And when her graceful silhouette is mirrored on the water, it almost feels as if time itself has stopped… ✨

Moonbeam IV is more than a yacht—she is a living legend. ⛵✨

Built in 1920, she is a timeless masterpiece designed by the legendary William Fife III and crafted by William Fife & Son in Fairlie, Scotland. Her elegant lines and extraordinary craftsmanship have made her one of the most admired classic yachts in the world.

More than a century later, Moonbeam IV has returned to Scottish waters for the Richard Mille Cup—sailing close to the very coastline where her remarkable story first began.

Every mile she sails is a tribute to tradition, passion, and the enduring beauty of classic yacht racing.

Some yachts win races. Legends like Moonbeam IV win hearts—and make history.

VIM

VIM sailing through the breathtaking archipelago of Marstrand — a truly legendary 12mR yacht and a masterpiece of naval architecture. ⛵️🇸🇪
Designed by the legendary Olin Stephens and built in 1939 for Harold S. Vanderbilt, VIM was years ahead of her time.
Her winning record and timeless lines made her one of the most remarkable yachts of the 12mR class.
As Olin Stephens himself later said: “She was a real refinement on what I had done before.”
Nearly nine decades later, VIM still looks absolutely stunning among the islands of Marstrand — a living piece of sailing history.

What an awesome 12mR Worlds in Marstrand, Sweden — everything that makes sailing so special: great breezes, exciting racing, breathtaking scenery, sunshine, rain, and most importantly, amazing people. ⛵️🇸🇪
A huge thank you for the extraordinary hospitality and to everyone who worked so hard to make this event possible.
What a week, what a place, and what an unforgettable experience — see you again on the water!
