Born in 1939. Lost beneath the waters of a Canadian lake. Brought back to life.
JENETTA (K-1) is far more than a classic racing yacht. Designed by renowned Scottish naval architect Alfred Mylne for Sir William P. Burton, she was built in Scotland in 1939 and became one of the most remarkable 12 Metre yachts of her era.
In her early racing days, JENETTA even managed to beat the legendary American yacht VIM, a formidable competitor of her time.
Her story took a dramatic turn in 2008, when she sank in Pitt Lake, Canada. Salvaged and brought back to Germany, she was painstakingly restored at Robbe & Berking Classics in Flensburg, with more than 20,000 hours of craftsmanship bringing this historic yacht back to life. Relaunched in 2019, JENETTA returned to the racecourse.
Today, nearly nine decades after her original launch, she is still doing what she was born to do: racing.
