Debout tôt, café à peine terminé, et voilà ce que l'on découvre. J'étais monté sur la montagne lors d'une matinée brumeuse dans l'Astarac, juste au dessus de notre maison, ici dans le Gers.

Alors que je contemplais l'horizon féerique, le petit village de Berdoues reposait encore sous une épaisse couverture de brume. La colline au premier plan émergeait à peine, colorée par les premières lueurs du matin.

Tout au fond, les Pyrénées se dessinaient, complétant cette image.

Cette photo a été prise le 12 décembre dernier.

Up early, coffee just finished, and then you get this. I walked up the mountain during a foggy morning in the Astarac, just above our house, here in the Gers.

As I stood above, taking in the enchanting horizon, the little village of Berdoues lay below, still sleeping under a thick blanket of fog. The hill in the foreground just peeked above it, colored by the first morning light.

Right at the back, the Pyrenees drew themselves against the sky, completing the image.

This image was photographed on December 12th last year.

Vroeg uit bed, koffie net op, en dan krijg je dit. Ik wandelde naar boven op de berg tijdens een mistige ochtend in de Astarac, net boven ons huis, hier in de Gers.

Terwijl ik boven de feeërieke horizon aanschouwde, lag onder mij het dorpje Berdoues nog te slapen onder een dikke deken van mist. De heuvel op de voorgrond stak er net bovenuit en werd gekleurd door het eerste ochtendlicht.

Helemaal achteraan tekenden de Pyreneeën zich af, en maakten dit beeld compleet.

Dit beeld is gefotografeerd op 12 december vorig jaar.

The staircase that bears the traces of a kind-hearted outlaw.

Hidden somewhere in the valleys of the Ardennes lies the secluded village of Lignely.
The legend tells that Jean-Henri Géna—a “Robin Hood”-esque outlaw, once took refuge here.

The hand-carved oak staircase and the rough natural stone walls hint at the rich history they hold.

That is the story I want to capture in a single image. In doing so, I create not just an image worth a thousand words, but one that tells a story to your visitor.

Sometimes everything falls into place so perfectly that it feels meent to be. Yesterday, I was so lucky at just the right moment … and that’s when I photographed this files of sunflowers

Pardoes, tout s’assemble si parfaitement sur l’on a l’impression que c’etait écrit. Hier, j’ai du une changement incroyable au moment idéal … et C’est alors que j’ai photographie ce champ de tournesols

Many people associate HDR with exaggerated effects and unnatural-looking photography.

But I use HDR differently.
I use the HDR technique to combine multiple exposures, allowing me to create an image that looks natural to the human eye.

When photographing an interior or architectural subject, I handle the entire process manually from start to finish. There is no automated workflow; instead, I follow a controlled, manual approach—manually measuring the light and using an X-Rite color chart.

I also merge the images manually to ensure I create a true-to-life HDR image.
