On this special day, we celebrate the women of yesterday, the women of today and the women of tomorrow. We celebrate the strength and courage each one had, to make our rights valuable and the fights they had to go through, to make our voices heard.
But still today, women do not have the rights we deserve and deeply want. Gender equality is not achieved anywhere yet, and is far from being achieved. There's still plenty of girls out of school, women who do not have access to medical care and the right to vote. But also women who are paid 10 to 30% less than men and every minute, 28 girls are married before they're even ready. It is not ok, it has never been, and it will never be. But we can change that. We can keep on fighting. It is about nothing but freedom and acceptance.
We shall dare to be who we are and who we wanna become. We shall dare to do whatever comes into our minds. This is our bodies, our minds.
To all these strong, independent, confident, empowering, loving, caring and beautiful women out there; when they say that we can't or we shouldn't, that we are not capable of something; let's just say "watch us"
The future is ours, let's make the best of it. Happy international women's day ♥
