"Il y a 7 mois, le 31 mars 2023, je prenais part à l’aventure d’une vie. L’aventure dont je rêvais quand j’étais petit et me voyais grand. Une expédition polaire à travers la Tundra scandinave en traîneau à chiens. De la beauté des paysages aux conditions climatiques les plus dures, c’est pendant 5 jours, accompagné de mes 6 chiens et de mes amis explorateurs, que j’ai voyagé dans l’un des endroits les plus sauvage d’Europe. Par -20c, dans le vent et sur une terre immaculée, avec comme seul abri notre tente et l’amour des chiens, nous avons parcouru 300km, traversant forêts, lacs gelés et montagnes de l’Arctic scandinave."

“This adventure was overwhelming. Both by the beauty of the landscapes that I crossed, and by the difficulty of the climatic conditions in which the adventure took place. The wind was so violent at times that even the sun struggled to warm us. Resilience, strength, team, 3 words that define the greatest life lesson I have ever received. Observing the dogs use all their strength and generosity to pull the sleds and demonstrate the greatest resistance in the face of brutal winds, day and night, and yet such kindness and gentleness with us, moved me. Observing that in such conditions, only mutual aid and teamwork guaranteed us a meal in the evening, allowed the community spirit to be re-emphasized. Observing that the most beautiful phenomena are appreciated in the most difficult conditions has given new meaning to sacrifice and merit.”

I came back from this adventure rich and grown. But with even more of a thirst for adventure.

Yesterday was international dog day. I don’t know what to think about these days. I mean it’s good to have a day to mark an event, to celebrate or to remember. It allows to bring attention and that’s good enough. But for me it’s everyday that I love and care for Kenya, my Good Girl, who’s turning 14 next month. Kenya brings so much joy and life in our lives. She’s part of the family and nothing would be the same if she weren’t. I’m definitely a dog person and profoundly love our 4-legged companions. Every time I cross path with one buddy I have to stop whatever I’m doing to say hello and pet them. I wish the love and attention Kenya receives from us would be equal for every dog. This day and every other days we should educate ourselves and learn from dogs’ kindness and devotion. As General Charles De Gaulle said - The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog.

This precise moment I sat and decided the next minutes, hours, days, months will be fully dedicated to me.

Me. I. Who am I? Not far ago I was struggling to answer that question. Not that the question was hard. But the answer was. It was because I’d rarely taken a moment to find myself, understand my values, seek for my happiness. I always thought that if everyone around me was happy I would be. And the only thing that mattered was to fulfill my peers’ wills.

It went fine, at least until lately. Until I started to feel lost. Until my brain and my body felt empty. They were still full of accomplishments - but lacking of self-achievements.

STOP ✋

I decided I will no longer be a yes man and to devote myself to what has a meaning to me.

Let’s try again. Who am I? I’m a creative soul, a travel enthusiast, a nature and animals lover and I am a damn good photographer and storyteller.

Now that I know who I am I can start my new life with confidence. 👊

Je fais partie de ces gens. Ici j’admire le coucher de soleil depuis le Mont Guérin dans le Jura. Un moment de plénitude.

Après une bonne journée de travail avec .jardin on s’est dit que ce serait chouette de grimper le Mont Guerin, histoire de prendre un peu de hauteur et des couleurs. On est bien content de cette grimpette. 🌄
