It only lasted for 1min30 but will remain engraved in our minds for a lifetime.

Cosmic activity brings us to another scale in the grand scheme of things.

This series of pictures was captured through an Heliostar H76, a dedicated equipment for solar observation focusing on the H-alpha emission ray. This shows the top layer of the sun, the chromosphere. It’s possible to watch and to photograph solar prominences and enjoy beautiful details of the sun surface.

The totality phase was captured with standard photo gear, a A7r5 with a sony 100-400GM lens at 400mm. During the totality phase it’s possible to see solar prominences in the visible spectrum. Longer exposures highlight the solar corona which was beautiful that evening in all directions.

Both systems were set on tracking mounts to ensure framing stability over the path of the eclipse.

Summer time...incredible viz in this spot, unlike during winter.

What a blast we had in Trou Madame...The winter 200m sump is completely different during summer. Extraordinary visibility (30m+), max depth 3m and mostly a lake (only a 30m-long overhead).

It was a great opportunity to cool off underground with Nicolas Monchaud and light big volumes with BigBlue Dive Lights Europe CB30000s and CB10000s.

Not really a "big dive" so to speak, but such a great photo shoot.

Petit tour dans les Pyrénées pour des photos un peu différentes de d'habitude

After multiple failed attempts over the past 7 years, I finally made it to the "dry" section behind Cabouy sump 1. More than 2 kilometers from the entrance, this was quite a ride. But so rewarding nevertheless...The dry section is massive, the lake runs over a kilometer. Photographs do not give justice to this huge cave.

Ressel lointain. Une galerie disproportionnée dans ce conduit, peu avant le Y (800m de l'entrée). Nous allons retourner à plusieurs reprises prendre des photos dans ce secteur pour documenter certaines des parois très verticales.

Ressel lointain. A partir de 400m de l'entrée, la galerie devient gigantesque et la visibilité est souvent meilleure. Cette photo est prise au niveau de l'arche, à environ 750m de l'entrée et à 50m de profondeur.
