Sometimes, getting lost is how you find your way.

I met Margarita after getting lost in the mountains of Peru. She welcomed me into her home, and for two days, I was simply a guest in her world.

It was a short encounter, but something in it stayed with me.

Looking back, I can see how those two days became a kind of beginning. They changed the way I looked at people, places, and at what it meant to travel. In many ways, they were the beginning of the life I am living today.

Years have passed, and I still think about her.

I don’t know if our paths will cross again. I hope they do.

An unexpected encounter

While passing through the city, I came across rehearsals for an event taking place the following day. I stopped for a while to make a few photographs and meet some of the people involved.
