A decade ago, the devastating winds of Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston left paths of destruction across Koro Island. Homes fell and structures shattered, but the spirit of the people of Nacamaki remained entirely unbroken. They were tested by the storm, but never defeated.

On Monday, 8th of June 2026, a ten-year journey of sacrifice, unwavering unity, and absolute resilience culminated in a moment that will be whispered about for generations. The doors to the spectacular new Nacamaki Methodist Church were officially opened.

Crew Films had the profound honor of being on the ground to capture history in motion. This highlight video is more than just footage of a celebration, it is a cinematic testament to a community that refused to stay down, rising together to build a beacon of hope that stands taller than any storm.

Honoring Tradition.Celebrating Faith🛐

The opening of a new church is a monumental milestone, representing years of sacrifice, dedication, and unwavering unity.

Today, Medical Services Pacific launched the “Na Bula E Dua: Empowering Students with HIV and Drug Use Information Project” IEC materials.

As part of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) Week celebrations, an awareness march led by the Prison Band was held to mark the close of the week, promoting HIV prevention, drug awareness, and healthy life choices.

The project is proudly supported by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
