Sarah & Andy

A wedding rarely keeps to time. Things slow down, especially when it comes to a place like Fiji. Our days are warm, slow and relaxed.

Choosing to get married at a place like Fiji definitely helps calm the nerves (as much as possible) because you’re not only surrounded by your closest but also something bigger than all of us, something that hopefully will be here even when we are all gone; that’s our beautiful skies and ocean shore.

Now, Sarah and Andy, having wed here are a part of Fiji, and they certainly have one person who wouldn’t mind grabbing a drink with them someday 🙂

Chris + Casey

I took a few days off of work after two weeks of traveling for weddings. I made sure my weekend was quiet, included lots of soul food, Fijian coffee and good music.

Now, I am finally ready for social media - and I would like you to meet Chris and Casey. A beautiful couple who decided to tie the knot at the Sofitel late in May. I don’t think I’ll say any more, Chris and Casey both know how much we loved spending the day with them.

More of my rambling that could pass off as advise from someone that photographs weddings every week or so:

Please add more of you to your wedding. Bring along whatever you adore the most from home; get your watch, get your favorite hat, get your Pokémon cards collection. Even though your items only show up in a few photos, it’s worth having with you. Also, write each other letters. It makes for beautiful photos.

Junebug Weddings Together Journal Hello May Easy Weddings

As the ceremony ended, clouds began to gather over what had been a clear day. Everyone expected a light shower — but as they say, when it rains, it pours.

The Hatzi and Fenech families, however, embraced it fully. The rain became part of the story rather than something that took away from it. Because at the end of the day, it’s the people, the emotion, and the love that matter most.

Lately, I’ve been reading (or more accurately, admiring) The Perfect Imperfect by John Dolan, and it’s inspired me deeply. The book reminds me that photographs don’t need to be technically perfect to feel beautiful, honest, and timeless.

Today I created a new black-and-white preset with softer contrast and heavier grain — something that feels dreamy, nostalgic, and quietly cinematic. The kind of feeling that turns a real day into something almost magical.
