Happy New Year my extraterrestrial friends! 2019 was a blast to say the least—I became a dad. 2020 will be an amazing ride as well! Here’s a set of photos of me doing random things. In the future I will be doing more and more of semi scifi compositing because the truth is I can’t go out and take photos every day. I have responsibilities now! But that’s not going to stop me from doing art of course. See you guys in 2020! This post will self-destruct in a couple days.

Hi all of you beautiful people! That’s me in the picture reaching the golden light. Reaching the sun, reaching the stars in general. I always try to push myself to go beyond “good enough”. Being super interested in something will most often add value to your life. For example I have always been interested in drawing. That let me to art school and there I got into animation. I then quite quickly started doing some freelance graphic design stuff and kept focusing more and more on animation. And now recently I’ve been doing a lot of photography and I’m super keen on moving on to do more videography. Truth be told I hope to one day ask my daughter “What do you want to do?” instead of “What do you want to be?” because being something and all these titles are not that important and maybe even not so good for your wellbeing. What matters, I think, is if you actually enjoy what you do in your life. Be it professionally or not. And I tend to enjoy what I do and my goal is to enjoy doing it more and more. So what’s new my friends?

Frozen leaf on a frozen lake. This is one of my all time favorite closeup photos. Shot with a surprisingly sharp Pentacon 50mm vintage lens that I purchased for 50 euros. Really looking forward to 2020 and the first couple months when we get some snow here. Are you a winter person?

Cloud number one is from Torni hotel Tampere. Took this photo a while back on a photoshoot with my friends .torppa Cloud number two is from the windmill spot i so often shoot at Lempäälä sotavallankatu. Would be really cool to plan a moonrise photoshoot there. Cloud three and four are from my balkony at Pappila. Been dieing to find a way to sneak in some basic cloud shots. What do you think?

So keep that in mind next time you see them. This guy was not dancing though, he was super chill and just kept posing like a champ.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this bird is a young Spotted Flycatcher (Harmaasieppo). They sit on tree branches and wait for the perfect moment to take off and strike any insects that are close to their reach. Clever little hunter!
