August is the only month when nature seems to pause – not blooming, not changing, just resting.
For us humans, that is usually a bit different.
We get back to work, kids go back to school… we make new routines or go back to old ones. For many, it's the start of the busy season.
But even though there is a lot to do, it does not mean that we can't do it slower.
This August, I am trying to follow nature’s rhythm more and be slower. Enjoying the crisp, quiet mornings and warm evenings, focusing on now. Not growing, not adding too much to my plate.
My son started the first grade, so there are lots of new things ahead for both of us. So we do that, and otherwise, we rest. And I try my hardest not to go into waiting mode, because autumn is my favorite season! I catch myself constantly daydreaming about soft sweaters, hot drinks, and rain…
So let's do August things that are mixed with a bit of summer — swimming without long beach days, reading on the balcony but with a warm blanket, eating ice cream but with blueberry pie. Let's not wait for another season, let's not get too busy. Just focusing on resting and enjoying what we have right now.
We have had the most wonderful photo days each month in the summer, and we do in August too. Let's hope that daisies are blooming then! There is one mini session available that you can book directly on the website (link in bio). These photos are from June's photo days, when we had the most beautiful flower fields!
But the question I want to ask - should we do a photo day outside in September?
Because the best months are yet to come.. 🍂😍
