Happy Lunar New Year! 🧧
I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself to all my lovely new followers and say a huge “hello” again to my long-time clients. ❤️
I am Jade Ylitalo. Originally from Vietnam, I’ve called Finland home for 10 years now. I took my Finnish husband’s surname and I love the name Jade, it ‘s short and simple. Also in the Finnish language, my name is similar to jäätelö ( ice cream) which is sweet, fun, happy, and loved by all kids—so it’s perfect to describe me, haha.
I’m the mom of a nine year old boy. I mean I’m perfect to be a newborn and family photographer as I really know how to deal with kids. I’ve mastered the art of being patient haha. Whenever I hear a client say to me how am I so good at being patient, I said: thank you, I have a 9 years old son. He teaches me a lot! 😂
I love babies and kids. 😍
I love spending time playing with them, laughing with them.
Beyond the “aww” factor (which is constant!), I am inspired by how they live in the moment. They don’t need much to be happy, and that’s a lesson I carry with me in my own life. So being a newborn and family photographer is isn’t just a career; it’s my dream job. Capturing that innocent spark is what I’m passionate about 😍
Here is fun fact about me: No matter how much I love my job, I am definitely not a workaholic. I truly believe that I am born to have fun, not to work 😂
Beyond photography, I love hiking, swimming, camping, mountain biking, trail running, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding… I will do all kinds of stuff that can bring my soul closer to nature all year round. And I also love art and spending time creating DIY projects. I love being creativity.
So basically, I work around 7 months a year so that I can have time for all the hobbies I am passionate about. This balance keeps my creativity fresh and my soul happy! And to me it’s more important than working hard to earn more. And I always feel thankful that I am able to do this. ❤️
About this photo, I usually look way happier than this haha. This was just an experiment- I tried a “deeper look” on this self-portrait. I promise I’m way happier than
Thank you for being part of my journey. I am deeply grateful. 💕📸✨
