Grave Pleasures gave a special performance in honor of their new album 'Motherblood' at Olympia on September 22. I tried to catch some of the atmosphere and here are the results.

'Motherblood' is set to release next Friday (29.9.). Do get it!

Grave Pleasures will release their new album 'Motherblood' on September 29 and we celebrated that yesterday at Olympia-kortteli. If you weren't there... well, that's your problem.

Tonight I'm shooting Grave Pleasures at Olympia here in Tampere! What makes this extra special is the fact I get to test my new wide angle, a 14mm manual Samyang, I received today.

What do you think, will the manual focus beat me?

Throwback to Tons of Rock festival and Sabaton's performance with the Caroleans!

I had about 2 seconds to take this shot. I didn't carry a flash and there was close to no light on the scene (don't let the sky fool you), so the result is what it is. ISO could've definitely been higher, this is ISO3200 & shutter at 1/40. That's why the "actual" shot was taken with a phone, since phones have flash! ;)

My point is, it's not always about having a fancy camera - you better use the equipment best suited to every situation! Here, a phone was better because there was no time to get more lights or arrange a tripod and do a long(er) exposure.

I'll post the original shot in the comments and you'll see how much detail you can recover from RAW pictures. Unfortunately I don't have that phone pic to show you.
