BLYTH'S REED WARBLER 3/3

This spring, I was lucky to spend a bit of time with this male Blyth's reed warbler that sang by the river near my home. One day it was on an exposed branch, the next on the edge of a willow, and yet another day it was at the top of an ugly dead tree, but it was always delivering its amazing variable song full of mimicry with great enthusiasm. I watched and listened with great enthusiasm too!

This species is one of the specialties of southern Finland, I'm happy I could show it to quite a few of my clients too 😊

I had an amazing time in the riparian forest along the Suusamyr river, at 2000m above sea level in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬❤
I stayed only one night there, but I wish it had lasted longer!

Here, a Siberian stonechat and a view of the distant mountains, with a bonus rainbow ;)
