Kävinpä tuossa pari kuukautta sitten pitkästä aikaa ulkoiluttamassa kameraa Circus Mukawassa 🔥 Varsin lystiä oli sekä kuvata että editoida tätä pakettia. Olosuhteet oli kohtalaisen haastavat: pimeää eikä juurikaan spottivaloja esiintyjille. Pääsi tekemään jälkityötä aika reippaasti. Tulihan sieltä siitä huolimatta aika makoisaa settiä!

How to photograph fire performers? I just recently found this excellent guide to flow arts photography and agree with the writer 100%. So instead of writing a tutorial myself, I recommend all aspiring fire photographers go and have a look at this one! 🔥🔥🔥

If you want to create powerful images of fire performers, the most important thing you can do is to forget about the fire, and focus on the performer.

Hey all! I finally created a dedicated photography page to gather and share my work in one place and to a wider audience than just my Facebook friends 😊 For the lack of better and more creative artist names (which I have been pondering for about 2 years), I decided to use my own name plus photography - a bit boring but easy to remember, eh? 😁

My subjects have varied over the years, from wild animals to interesting people, from street views to exotic locations, mostly snapshots from my trips around the globe. On my travels I also discovered a passion in fire portraits and now that I travel less for various reasons, fire has become my main focus.

These days I mostly take portraits of fire spinners in natural light at fire jams and other events, such as Cosmic Circus at Kosmos Festival where I volunteer annually. Fire spinning has been my passion since 2013, and I enjoy the thrill of spinning just as much as the challenge of capturing it on camera 🔥

I will add more content over the next few days! Great to have you here!
