A wild lynx napping with a beautiful evening light behind the forest.

It’s a special feeling when an apex predator decide to sleep in your presence. It shows a level of comfort and trust the animal feels in the moment. I hope for more encounters like this in 2026. As we prepare to sleep our way from 2025 into 2026, have a good sleep for a year, just like this lynx 😼😴 See you all in 2026.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone who celebrates. Photographed here is a pair of raccoon dogs outside their winter den, just a month ago, when there was a bit of snow for a day. They are probably hibernating now deep in their cozy den. Sadly, there isn’t any snow this year where I live, which has become a normal thing in recent years.
