You have 100 poses saved, out of which you remember two. The couple looks at you. And for 3 seconds — it's completely quiet.

Most photographers fill that silence as fast as possible. I used to do the same thing.

So many thoughts on this lately - and I'm curious if you feel the same.

The topic: AI.

A lot of colleagues in the (wedding) photography world are encouraging us to embrace it, saying those who don't will get left behind. I understand that. The appeal of a faster workflow, a lighter workload, more time with family instead of hours at the computer - that's real 100%, and I don't dismiss it.

But I keep coming back to a quieter question: what happens to a world where anyone can instantly appear to be an expert in something they've never actually studied or practiced? And what does that mean for those who've spent years - genuinely - developing a craft with their own hands, eyes, and mind?

On a personal note: when I come across content that was entirely planned, written, edited, and posted by AI, I find myself losing interest. I wonder if others feel similarly?

No strong agenda here, just an honest question. I'd love to hear where you stand. Share your thoughts below. 🤍

Also, does anyone still read actual captions or are we all used to only reading slides hooks anymore? 🤣🙈

She told me before the session:“We’re really awkward in photos.”

I hear this all the time.

And every time I think the same thing:It’s not you.

People don’t look “awkward” because they are.
They become awkward when they feel watched.
When they don’t know what’s expected.
When they try to do everything right.

So we don’t start with posing.
We start with removing that pressure.
And then, very quietly,
things shift.

This is one of those moments. 🤍

You don’t have to prepare perfectly for a session.

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands.
You don’t need everything to go smoothly (it never does with little ones) 😎.
You don’t need to “get it right”.

My work is not about directing you into perfect images.

It’s about creating a space
where you can just be together.

Where your children can move, play, and come close again. Where there’s laughter, small chaos, and quiet moments in between. 🤍 Where there is realness.

I guide you gently.
I give you something simple to start from.

And then I step back. And come in again. Whatever the situation requires.

Most of what you see in my images comes from what actually happens. Authenticity.
