Attunement

The attunement was a forgotten path,
Not even a shred of a possibility.
A memory through touch and sound
Had been evaporated by time and naked arrogance.

Yet it was still latent, sleeping, waiting for a need,
Listening to a gentle rippling pulse.
A seed, rising from the innards of the earth,
To awaken the forgotten love.

Written in the music’s core
Was a bond, beyond doubt.
A dance was enough to spark
A circulating flame.

La Afinación

La afinación era un sendero olvidado,
Ni siquiera un vestigio de una posibilidad.
Una memoria a través del tacto y del sonido
Había sido evaporada por el tiempo y la arrogancia desnuda.

Y aun así permanecía latente, dormida, esperando una necesidad,
Escuchando un pulso suave y ondulante.
Una semilla, que asciende desde las entrañas de la tierra,
Para despertar el amor olvidado.

Escrito en el núcleo de la música
Había un vínculo, sin lugar a duda.
Una danza bastaba para encender
Una llama circulante.

First there was that glitch
A small black blotch widening
Twisting, turning, shaping
I thought I saw a rock blinking
Did you notice that?
A slight change of colour
A shift in position.
You could imagine it watched you
In slow motion.
The stone I mean,
That rock, right there.
Smirking.

Primero estuvo ese fallo
Una pequeña mancha negra que se ensanchaba
Retorciéndose, girando, tomando forma
Creí ver una roca parpadeando
¿Lo notaste?
Un leve cambio de color
Un desplazamiento de posición.
Podías imaginar que te observaba
A cámara lenta.
La piedra, quiero decir,
Esa roca, justo ahí.
Sonriendo con sorna.

Ground Collective is delighted to announce their new project Messages from a Silent River. Conceived by were delighted when Marcia's proposal was accepted by .space for Hypha Gallery 2, 1 Poultry.

Messages from a Silent River is a multi-disciplinary exhibition inspired by the lost course of the Walbrook River - once an open waterway in Roman London and now a silent presence beneath The City. The theme provides a lens for the artists of Ground Collective to explore a range of ideas, from the city's forgotten past to the urgent realities of the global climate crisis. Weaving together sculpture, painting, installation, printmaking and video, the exhibition is informed by walks taken in the area with artist and mudlarker Mark Sowden.

Ground Collective is made up of a core group of multidisciplinary artists, a poet, and changing guest contributors. United by a shared interest in place, they create work in response to walks and encounters with the everyday - gathering materials, impressions, and ideas from both rural and urban environments.

Op een gegeven moment had frustratie zich toegegeven aan haat , die zich meester gemaakt had van de situatie en begon zichzelf steeds belangrijer te vinden in het land van vrijheid van meningsuiting.

At a certain point, frustration had given way to hatred, which had taken control of the situation and began to see itself as increasingly important in the land of freedom of expression.

En un cierto momento, la frustración había cedido a la rabia, que se había adueñado de la situación y empezó a considerarse cada vez más importante en la tierra de la libertad de expresión
